Abstract

The following regulation proposal establishes the guidelines and expectations so that students who wish to carry out their social service in the foundation have the flexibility that we can provide them by following specific rules that avoid hindering activities, as well as homework policies, changes and justification of absences, documentation, and student responsibilities.

Specification

It is necessary to ensure that the social service regulations are written efficiently and effectively, providing a clear and understandable framework for students and minimizing misunderstandings and conflicts in the future.

Motivation

Due to recent misunderstandings regarding the interpretation of concepts such as "flexible hours" and "work at home," and in our search to adapt to the needs and responsibilities of the students without neglecting the time and resources of both the members and the foundation itself, these guidelines pursue optimization, commitment, balance, and excellence in the social service we offer.

Rationale

Objectives of the Social Service: The social service of the Decentralized Climate Foundation has as its main objective to allow students to contribute to the development of the community and to the achievement of the objectives of the foundation. Through this experience, students will also have the opportunity to gain valuable skills, knowledge, and experiences for their personal and professional development.

1. Morning and Evening Schedule: We recognize and value the importance of flexibility for students who perform their social service with us. We understand that many of you also have other academic and personal responsibilities. Therefore, we offer morning and afternoon hours, as well as the possibility of working from home when necessary.

2. Student Responsibilities: Despite the flexibility provided, students must understand that this is not a license for a lack of commitment or responsibility.  It is essential that students fulfill the following responsibilities:
   a) Agreed schedules: Students must respect the schedules agreed upon with their supervisors and comply with the established social service hours.
   b) Communication: Students must maintain open and effective communication with their supervisors, reporting their availability, progress, and any difficulties they may face.
   c) Homework Submission: Students must submit their homework and projects within the established deadlines and meet the required quality standards.
   d) Professionalism: Students must conduct themselves professionally, maintaining the confidentiality of sensitive information and showing respect towards their peers and foundation staff.

3. Supervision and Support: Each social service student will be assigned to a designated supervisor.  The supervisor will provide regular guidance, support, and feedback to ensure the student is meeting social service goals and meeting challenges appropriately.

4. Work at Home Policies: Although we allow work at home, it is important to note the following:
   a) Work at home must be previously agreed upon with the supervisor.
   b) Students must have access to the necessary tools and resources to complete their assignments at home.
   c) Communication with the supervisor and the team must be kept active, even while working at home.

5. Evaluation and Certification: The evaluation of the student's performance will be carried out periodically through follow-up reports and performance evaluations. Upon successful completion of social service, students will receive a certificate attesting to their participation and contribution.

6. Consequences of Non-Compliance: Non-compliance with these regulations could result in disciplinary measures, including the termination of the social service at the Decentralized Climate Foundation.

7. For the delivery of the bimonthly reports, these must be signed by hand by the
   in charge of the service at the foundation, in the same way that the completion of the service by the director

Objetivos del Servicio Social: El servicio social de la DCF tiene como objetivo principal permitir que los estudiantes contribuyan al desarrollo de la comunidad y al logro de los objetivos de la fundación. A través de esta experiencia, los estudiantes también tendrán la oportunidad de adquirir valiosas habilidades, conocimientos y experiencias para su desarrollo personal y profesional.

1. Horario Matutino y Vespertino: Reconocemos y valoramos la importancia de la flexibilidad para los estudiantes que realizan su servicio social con nosotros. Entendemos que muchos de ustedes también tienen otras responsabilidades académicas y personales. Por ello, ofrecemos horario de mañana y tarde, así como la posibilidad de trabajar desde casa cuando sea necesario.

2. Responsabilidades del estudiante: A pesar de la flexibilidad proporcionada, los estudiantes deben entender que esto no es una licencia por falta de compromiso o responsabilidad. Es fundamental que los estudiantes cumplan con las siguientes responsabilidades:
   a) Horarios pactados: Los estudiantes deberán respetar los horarios pactados con sus supervisores y cumplir con los horarios de servicio social establecidos.
   b) Comunicación: Los estudiantes deben mantener una comunicación abierta y efectiva con sus supervisores, informando su disponibilidad, progreso y cualquier dificultad que puedan enfrentar.
   c) Entrega de Tareas: Los estudiantes deben entregar sus tareas y proyectos dentro de los plazos establecidos y cumplir con los estándares de calidad requeridos.
   d) Profesionalismo: Los estudiantes deben comportarse de manera profesional, manteniendo la confidencialidad de la información sensible y mostrando respeto hacia sus compañeros y el personal de la fundación.

3. Supervisión y Apoyo: Cada estudiante de servicio social será asignado a un supervisor designado. El supervisor brindará orientación, apoyo y comentarios regulares para garantizar que el estudiante cumpla con los objetivos de servicio social y los desafíos de manera adecuada.

4. Políticas de trabajo en casa: aunque permitimos el trabajo en el hogar, es importante tener en cuenta lo siguiente:
   a) El trabajo en casa debe ser previamente acordado con el supervisor.
   b) Los estudiantes deben tener acceso a las herramientas y recursos necesarios para completar sus tareas en casa.
   c) La comunicación con el supervisor y el equipo debe mantenerse activa incluso mientras se trabaja en casa.

5. Evaluación y Certificación: La evaluación del desempeño del estudiante se realizará periódicamente a través de informes de seguimiento y evaluaciones de desempeño. Al completar con éxito el servicio social, los estudiantes recibirán un certificado que acredite su participación y contribución.

6. Consecuencias del incumplimiento: El incumplimiento de este reglamento podría dar lugar a medidas disciplinarias, incluyendo la terminación del servicio social en la Fundación.

7. Para la entrega de los reportes bimestrales, estos deberán ser firmados a mano por el encargado del servicio en la fundación, de igual manera la finalización del servicio por el director.
